Actavis (Foshan) Pharmaceutical Co. Ltd was a subsidiary company of the giant enterprise Actavis group in China, which is ranking the third all over the world. Actavis (Foshan) is also an important manufacturing base in Asia, with the registered capital of nearly $25 millions. The factory is located in Guangdong Province Foshan City, covers an area of 38 thousand square meters, has a staff of nearly 300. The company’s processor was a sino-foreign joint venture, which invested by Foshan Pharmaceutical Co. Ltd., Foshan Youlian Medicine Development Co Ltd, and F. H. Faulding & Co. Limited (Australia) in 1994. Alpharma (U.S) acquired the stock of F. H. Faulding & Co. Limited in 2001, and changed the name into Alpharma (Foshan) Pharmaceutical Co. Ltd. In 2005, Actavis acquired the company from Alpharma (U.S), and changed the name into Actavis (Foshan) Pharmaceutical Co. Ltd. In January 2014, Zhejiang Chiral Medicine Chemicals Co., Ltd acquired the company, and took over all the business from Actavis in China.

The existing production scale with an annual output of 1.8 billions of pieces of tablets, 1.2 billions pieces of hard capsules and soft capsules, 10 millions of bottles of oral solution, 20 millions of bottles of liniment and 20 millions of bags of dry suspension (penicillin). The representative products of the company are Maren soft capsules, Wuziyanzong soft capsules and Xuehachongcao soft capsules.
